The second wave of remixes from pioneer Ellen Allien and her recent album Alientronics is set to be released this fall. The Part 2 remix package includes some of the scene’s biggest talents such as FJAAK, Alien Rain, Hector Oaks, and Shlømo.
Alien Rain remixes MDMA, a huge nineties-inspired synth line. The riff is modulated, twisted and warped, steadily graduating into all-out madness towards the latter part of the track.
Continuing with Shlømo and his remix of Exit To Humanity. With huge raucous energy, the drums go full-on intense. A short breakdown sends us into the main body of the track which is unrelenting with bright synth lines lighting things up towards the end.
Hector Oaks follows up with his version of Free Society, this one under his Cadency alias. Zooming with a hypnotic rhythm Ellen's original riff is spliced with Hector's inventive instrumental to great effect.
German music trio FJAAK will close the release with their throbbing reinterpretation of Bowie In Harmony. On this rework, a powerful low end sends tremors through the Earth's surface as a menacing acid lick wriggles and squirms in the background.
This track was made with healing people in mind and if it helps one person out there, then it's a success.” - Mikey Lion
