New York electronic symphonic composer and songwriter Chris Lanuzzi, whose vision is singular, wholly original and uncompromising, With a career full of boundary-breaking accolades and a series of solo releases through his I, Synthesist project, Chris Ianuzzi returns with a brand new direction on confounding new 3-track EP Olga in a Black Hole, the first taste of new music to be featured on his upcoming full-length album Planetaria out on May 1st.
Trip in a New Future. I have started something different for myself. Feels like a return to my roots in Electronic music. I had ventured to make song related music and now I am freeing myself of that structure and headed towards something new. It's always just the beginning :)
Satellite Symphonics is Chris’s own label, distributed through The Orchard /Sony to major outlets. Chris has a partnership with Weatnu Records for Bandcamp. His interest in electronic music never waned after the sound of a Moog synthesizer at a music store triggered an earlier childhood hallucinogenic memory he first experienced during a dental procedure. Highlights from my formal music training include a performance for the American Society for University Composers in which playing the piano using a chisel, rubber wedge and processed the sound through an ARP 2600.
Chris Lanuzzi has become a bit more grounded since his childhood psychedelic musical awakening, my creativity remains a driving force. Using classic analog synthesizers in conjunction with the most current digital technologies, my goal is to create immersive performances.
This track was made with healing people in mind and if it helps one person out there, then it's a success.” - Mikey Lion
