Movement Electronic Music Festival is one of the longest running and acclaimed dance music festivals in the world. Movement is the birthplace of techno, where underground dance acts come together for three days during Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27 inside Hart Plaza, Detroit’s legendary riverfront park. Movement has announced its 2019 complete lineup with some returning veterans as well as iconic artists.

Since its inception, Movement has been extremely dedicated to bringing a completely original experience to Detroit, the place where it all began for Techno. Festival organizers are focused on showcasing authentic talent for the event, inviting acts from all over the globe, which in turn provides an experience that is purely about the music. Part of the Movement experience is the all-night after parties where Temples, Churches, and other places are transformed into a techno haven. The amount of after parties are overwhelming but what makes the Movement experience so special.
Festival organizers, Paxahau presents the 2019 lineup featuring UK dance music pioneers Orbital, who will be performing live for the first time in Detroit in almost 20 years. The lineup also includes Amelie Lens, Chris Lake, Danny Brown, Hot Since 82, Floorplan, and Tale Of Us. “I’m so excited to be a part of Movement Detroit’s lineup this year! It really is one of my dreams come true.” – Amelie Lens. A special live performance from Stephan Bodzin who will move you to tears. Featuring 79 acts including Grammy-nominated duo Disclosure, who will be performing their legendary DJ set. Michigan native and “future funk” trailblazer, GRiZ who will be bringing his acclaimed live show to Movement. There will be a special triple back-to-back performance from Techno heavyweights Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, and Paco Osuna. Other acts include FISHER, Richie Hawtin, Josh Wink, and a special live performance from icons Octave One. Dirtybird boss, Claude VonStroke and Relief Records creator, Green Velvet who formed the collaborative act GET REAL will be performing at Movement as well. The complete lineup can be found below, and mark the dates for Movement Electronic Music Festival 2019 edition.
