Bangkok's hugely successfully influential 808 Festival is shaping up nicely as the final names have now been announced for its fifth installment which will take place on December 9th and 10th event at Oasis Arena @ Show DC. Along with elite names in the dance music industry such as Amelie Lens, Axwell, Timmy Trumpet, Slander, Boombox Cartel, ANOTR, DVBBS, Gryffin and Sam Paganni. 808 Festival is one of the most anticipated and spectacular festivals in Asia and truly drives the scene forwards each year with great production, immersive atmospheres, and world-class bookings.
The latest names to be added to the mouthwatering line-up include Belgian techno proponent Amelie Lens, who is a truly exciting talent with a dark and compelling sound that has landed on labels like Elevate and Pan-Pot's Second State. This will mark her debut appearance in Asia having played all over the UK, Belgium, Germany, for Circo Loco at DC10 in Ibiza and many events during ADE and landmark festivals like Awakenings.
As well as this there is also Swedish house sensation Axwell, who has been playing the biggest venues and festivals in the world for years now, plus the in-demand Timmy Trumpet, a high climber in the latest DJ Mag Top 100 DJ poll. Also lining up are LA duo Slander, who mix up trap influences into their own sounds called 'Heaven Trap,' and Mexican-born duo Boombox Cartel from the Mad Decent label also play.
On top of this, expect more on point and dizzyingly diverse sounds from the likes of Defected and Armada Music Dutch duo ANOTR who are the house meets tech house revelations of their time, plus Canadian brothers DVBBS who have headlined everywhere from Creamfields to Tomorrowland. As well as this there will be a live show from America's EDM and future house hero Gryffin who is never far from the tip of the dance charts, and lastly Drumcode's Italian techno stalwart Sam Paganni.
As such, 808 Festival will now feature many styles from trap to EDM, house to techno, hardstyle to future bass, many forms of trance and more. Previously announced names include Vini Vici, Above & Beyond, Kayzo, Ghastly, Flosstradamus and Justin Oh, making this a spectacular two-day event that will immerse you in a world of different, vital and essential dance scenes and styles.
